Aquatic poem and Anthropocene crisis
Overview
Hydrophonia - remix (2025) is an electroacoustic poem tracing the journey of water in all its forms, from its cosmic emergence to the catastrophe of the Anthropocene. The piece explores:
- the genesis of water,
- its secret flows,
- its metamorphoses,
- its real and mythical landscapes,
- up to the contamination and destruction caused by modern humanity.
This project offers an immersive listening experience of our contemporary ecological crisis, through the lens of the primordial element—water.
Genesis and Versions
This work was originally composed for octophonic diffusion, tailored to the acousmonium setup of the Apnées festival (PAYSAGES | COMPOSÉS 2025), allowing full spatialization on eight speakers.
The version presented here is a stereophonic reduction, specially adapted for YouTube.
Headphone listening is strongly recommended to fully experience the richness and inner movement of the sound spaces.

This composition was submitted for the PAYSAGES | COMPOSÉS 2025 call for works, organized by Apnées.
